Since 2000, we have led the effort to build, maintain and advocate for trails in the Rural Municipality of Stanley in southern Manitoba.

Our Mission

To promote and encourage the development and use of recreational trails in the RM of Stanley.

The southern part of the trail closely follows the Boundary Commission Trail. Big prairie skyscapes, shale cliffs, wild flowers, abundant wildlife, open grassland, rich agricultural lands, rolling hills, wandering creek crossings, oak stands, poplar bush and dramatic views of the Red River Valley all promise to delight trail users. The most technically challenging and scenic sections are where the trail follows the wooded creeks along the Pembina escarpment.

What We've Achieved

  • Establishing collaborations with partners including landowners and the RM of Stanley.

  • Connecting single track trails with gravel and dirt back roads, winding along the Pembina Escarpment.

  • Highlighting scenic vistas overlooking the Pembina Valley.

  • Joining our beautiful region to the rest of Canada via the Trans Canada Trail.

  • Hosting club bike rides, races, hikes and fundraising events.

  • Building a volunteer base of trail ambassadors that lean into trail maintenance.

  • Creating opportunity for healthy outdoor activity for all ages.
